What is ATL or authority to leave?

Authority to Leave (ATL) gives the delivery driver permission to leave your order at your nominated address without obtaining a signature, in accordance with your delivery instructions.

Should I select authority to leave?

Only select ATL if there is a suitable, secure place for your delivery. Choose somewhere sheltered from weather and out of public view, and provide clear instructions.

For valuable or bulky orders, consider arranging delivery when someone will be available to receive them.

Who is responsible once the order is delivered?

Homecamp remains responsible for your goods until they are delivered to you, your nominated recipient, or left in accordance with your express ATL instructions.

If your order is correctly delivered under those instructions, you may bear the risk of subsequent theft or loss. ATL does not remove our responsibility for damage before delivery, delivery to the wrong address or failure to follow your instructions.

What if tracking says “delivered”, but I cannot find my order?

Check your nominated delivery location and ask other members of your household or anyone authorised to receive the order.

If you still cannot locate it, email [email protected] with your order number and tracking details. We will investigate with the carrier, including reviewing available delivery photographs and records.

A courier’s delivery scan or photograph is evidence we consider; it does not automatically resolve a disputed delivery.

What happens if I do not give authority to leave?

Depending on the delivery service, the carrier may require a signature or arrange collection or redelivery if nobody is available. Check your tracking updates for instructions, or contact us if you need help.
