How do I return an item?
Please email [email protected] with your order number, the item you would like to return and the reason. If something is damaged or faulty, include photographs where possible.
We’ll explain the next steps and confirm the return address. Please contact us before sending goods to our showroom or warehouse.
If you’ve changed your mind
Eligible change-of-mind returns are for Homecamp store credit, rather than a refund to your original payment method.
Please request your return within 14 days of delivery, then send the goods within 14 days of receiving our written return instructions, unless we agree otherwise.
Items must be unused, clean, completely dry, free of odours and in resale condition, with their original packaging, labels, accessories and components. You may carefully unpack an item to inspect it.
Items marked sale, clearance or final sale before purchase are excluded from change-of-mind returns after dispatch. A normal bundle saving alone does not make a bundle final sale.
You pay return freight, and delivery charges already incurred are not credited. Please pack items securely and use a tracked service.
After inspection, we normally issue store credit within 10 business days of receiving an eligible return. Store credit does not expire.
Can I return a tent after pitching it?
Tents pitched outdoors or showing ground use are normally excluded from change-of-mind returns.
We may accept an exceptional return following discussion with you. Reasonable deductions may apply for necessary inspection, cleaning, drying, repacking, missing or damaged components, or reduced resale value. We will explain and agree these in writing before you incur return freight costs. Where inspection is needed, we will agree the assessment basis and maximum deduction beforehand.
What if Homecamp agrees to a refund?
If we exceptionally agree to a change-of-mind refund, we will deduct actual payment-provider fees that are not returned to us, where permitted by law and the provider’s terms. This may include Stripe, Afterpay or PayPal fees.
We will confirm the deduction and net refund amount before processing. There is no additional administration fee or markup. Payment-processing deductions do not apply to store credit.
What if my item is faulty, damaged or incorrect?
Contact us so we can assess the issue and arrange the appropriate remedy under Australian Consumer Law.
The change-of-mind deadlines, unused-condition requirements and sale exclusions do not limit your consumer rights. Original packaging is not required for a faulty-goods claim.
For a valid claim, we cover reasonable return costs and arrange collection where required. Legally required refunds are not reduced by payment-processing or restocking fees.
For full details, see our Terms & Conditions of Sale. The terms applicable when you placed your order apply to your purchase.
